In this session, we will be exploring the art of alcohol inks – this medium creates wispy and organic shapes to create your own colorful, abstract masterpiece.

First will be practicing on Yupo paper, an A4 waterproof paper.

Then on our final will be on a F6 size wooden gesso panel

Choose your own color combinations and add metallic gold accents within your artwork – we will be using lots of fun materials and tools.

Important Class Information

• This class is for adults 20 years and older.
• We provide aprons for all participants to help protect your clothing. However, we recommend dressing in clothing that you don’t mind getting paint or ink on. Alcohol ink is difficult to remove once it dries.
• At the end of the class, you will be able to take your finished artwork home with you.
• Alcohol ink uses materials that can be harmful. If you are pregnant, have respiratory illness, or sensitive to alcohol please do not sign up for this class.
• Alcohol ink art used alcohol to flow ink and it evaporates quickly leaving a highly pigmented ink. The use of alcohol ink in this method is still relatively new and we don’t yet know the long term effects of inhaling alcohol and ink vapors. Artbar Tokyo considers the safety of the teachers and customers of prime importance and will take caution to follow the manufacturers instruction regarding the use of these products while also considering that each person’s body may react differently.
• Artbar Studios offering Alcohol ink will: Ventilate the studio Use Ethanol alcohol (instead of IPA) Offer 3M organic gas respirators, eye protection and gloves on request

• Full Refund: Cancel up to 3 days before the event start time.
• 25% Cancellation Fee: If you cancel between 3 days and 24 hours before the event.
• No Refund: For cancellations within 24 hours of the event start time.
